Head Coach Doug Groff, in his 16 year at Kennedale, says he doesn?t really watch the polls and besides it is still early in the season. Others would agree. First, win/lost records are all over the place. Second, teams are just adding players from the football season to their roster while other teams have players that are still in the state football playoffs. Along with coaching changes and move-ins, it is often not until after the Christmas holiday tournament season that teams show their real potential and establish consistency.
?
Still, Groff is pleased with what he has seen so far, especially on defense. Kennedale?s five earlier wins have come against 4A Midlothian Heritage 67-37, 6A Coppell 54-49, 5A Granbury 67-51, 4A Argyle 49-35 and 4A Alvarado 89-51.

?
