The Kennedale Wildcats (4-0) picked up another lopsided win beating Kaufman 56-13 in Kaufman.
Kennedale Senior RB Juwan Washington picked up 5 touchdowns while rushing 268 yards on 25 carries (10.8 yards per) and one 42 yards reception. {{more}}
For Washington, the San Diego State signee, that is 10 touchdowns in just the last 2 games. Most of his yardage and 4 of his touchdowns came in the first half, helping Kennedale to a 35-0 lead at halftime.
The Wildcat offense grounded out 463 yards at 9.45 yards per carry and gained another 110 yards through the air for a total of 573 yards. Senior RB Ronald Hayes had 116 yards on 12 carries and one toudchdown. Senior QB Jake Michener went 2-3-1 for 110 yards and rushed for 56 yards with 2 touchdowns.
The Kaufman Lions (0-4) didn’t get on the scoreboard until the 3rd when they scored twice. The Lions did have 338 yards in total offense, 270 rushing on 40 attempts with 68 yards passing (7-20-0).
Kennedale’s kicker, Senior Zane Kottwitz was 8 for 8 on extra points and Senior TE Chance Bishop had 68 yards on one reception for the evening.
Kennedale is playing Dallas Carter for Kennedale?s Homecoming game next week at Wildcat Stadium. Dallas Carter (0-4) is coming off a one point loss to Dallas Lincoln 24-23.
