“Class 4A is always a lot of fun to watch. The teams are very competitive with no clear favorites. Looking at Division I, we have two teams that some call surprise teams making it to the championship game.”
 
“Kennedale has never been in a championship game but this could be their year to win it all. They have the talent with 16 returning starters from a 12-1 team. That makes it back to back 12-1 seasons to extend their winning streak to 16 years. They have paid their dues.”

“After five mediocre years China Spring made it back to the top last year with a 12-2 record and a trip to the Quarterfinals where they lost to eventual state champion Waco La Vega.”
 
“We have Kennedale and China Spring showing up in the title game with Kennedale grabbing the title. This is a bracket that could be busted wide open as teams like China Spring look great but their region is so loaded that even if they slip up a bit, they could fall way short of expectations.”
 
Mineral Wells at #13 …
 
LSG has the top ten ranked, starting with Kennedale as first, Argyle, China Springs, Texarkana Liberty-Eylau, Waco La Vega, Navasota, Carthage, Abilene Wylie, Kaufman and Stafford, Mineral Wells comes in at #13. Mineral Wells and Kennedale are both in District 5-4A and meet October 10 at Mineral Wells in a game that has already been designated as a DQ Big Game of the Week.
