This is considered the formal review and consideration process for the proposed UDC in which the residents and community are able to particparticipate and provide feedback.

Over the past year, community members have worked alongside stakeholders, leadership, the Planning & Development Department, and consultants to update and consolidate all regulations
related to the use and development of land in the City

Matters addressed in the proposed update include but not limited to
  • residential development patterns and housing mix (e.g., single family, multi-family);
  • commercial corridor design standards;
  • landscaping, lighting, and screening; and
  • layout and connectivity of sidewalks, streets and blocks;

The primary proposed change is the introduction of ?Village Districts,? which provide for mixed-use development in key areas.

The City will have an informal meeting with City Manager Bob Hart, which is set aside for time for residents to ask the City Manager about the UDC proposal or any other city issue. This will be followed by an open house hosted by those who worked on the proposal. A formal presentation will follow that will end with a question and answer session.
