Kennedale (30-13, 10-0) defeated Bridgeport, a #4 seed from District 8-4A, in three sets in bi-district play Tuesday evening. The #7 ranked Lady Kats had no trouble with the Bridgeport Sissies (9-27, 3-5) winning 25-14, 25-12 and 25-12. This sets up a return match with Abilene Wylie for the Area title on Saturday at 2:00 at Eastland High School.
Abilene Wylie (16-15, 6-1) a second seed from District 6-4A defeated Iowa Park Tuesday night in three sets by scores of 25-8, 25-12 and 25-7. Last year Kennedale lost to Wylie 3-1, but this year is a turnaround, with the Kats with the better record and a top ten ranking. (Wylie was 29-13 last year at this point and had broken into the top 10).
