Tuesday night the Lady Kats volleyball team (11-16-1, 4-0) took care of busy against the Castleberry Lady Lions (1-13, 0-3), winning in 3; 25-14, 25-15, 25-9.
Team leaders in the game included Maggie Pyles (So) 8 kills and 7 digs; Rachel Dixon (Sr) {{more}}8 kills, 1 ace, 1 solo block and 4 digs; Jodi Dixon (Fr) 5 kills, 1 block assist and 2 digs, Darby Smith (So) 5 kills, 2 aces and 4 digs, Kylie Foster (So) 1 kill, 6 aces and 8 digs.
This Friday night, October 11, at Springtown, the Lady Kats take on the Lady Porcupines (22-8, 4-0) in a District 6-3A battle for sole possession of 1st place at the end of the first round of play. Both teams have swept their district opponents going into this match.
The Kennedale Wildcats will play the Porcupines in the kick-off of 6-3A district football games also at Springtown. The Lady Kats varsity will play at 5 p.m. and the Wildcats kick-off is at 7:30 p.m.
