In his service on the school board, Joe Taylor has proven himself an invaluable advocate for our schools with measurable results that have helped transform KISD into a well-respected and often imitated, highly successful district in academics, arts, and extracurriculars as well as in management and finances. Families, including many educators, move to Kennedale for the schools.

 
People know the victories and improvements for KISD say a lot about the leadership, and Joe?s servant leadership has gained the trust and respect of the community for years.
 
Joe Taylor and his wife Ginger have volunteered for Kennedale schools since their kids began school over 20 years ago. They believe our kids and our schools must be a priority, and they have backed that belief with their service in the schools and community.
 
What has been done in recent years is proven and Joe?s passion for our schools’ future, along with his involvement and good working relationships with the community and leadership in the area and state will continue to be an important benefit for KISD going forward.
 
Taylor?s goals are for even greater standards, opportunities, and success for our students. His focus and understanding of how to serve with the team, along with his goals for the future of Kennedale are important to our students and community.

  • Led Board of Trustees action to refinance existing bonds to better rates resulting in saving taxpayer dollars.
  • Kennedale median home values significantly outpacing the Metroplex average over the last decade due in large part to becoming a highly desirable school district.
Proven Leadership in the Community
  • Years of services: KISD School Trustee 2000-2015
  • Constantly builds and develops relationships with area leaders, businesses and community to benefit KISD.
  • Represents KISD at area Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Club, City of Kennedale and other area events.
  • Advocated for competitive teachers? pay, hiring of communications director, better facilities and technology, and more student opportunities.
  • Active member and supporter of the Kennedale Educational Foundation since its inception in 2003.
