? ? Burkburnett didn’t have a chance on Friday, as the Kennedale Wildcats won in blowout fashion, 12-6 in six innings at Decatur in the North Texas Tournament of Champions.

The Kennedale Wildcats scored three runs in the sixth on an RBI double by Jake Michener and a two-run double by Jay Thomas. ?Zac “Willie” Michener put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Kennedale Wildcats. He doubled in the second and fourth innings {{more}}and singled in the fifth and sixth innings.?The Kennedale Wildcats hammered Burkburnett pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 14 hits, nine RBIs and 10 runs scored.

The lead stayed with the Kennedale Wildcats after the second, when they scored two runs on an RBI double by Austin Hunt and a steal of home by Josh Taylor.?The Kennedale Wildcats brought home two runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the fifth. In the third, the Kennedale Wildcats scored on an RBI triple by Chayce Coltharp, bringing home Taylor Smith.

? ? After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the third, Burkburnett faced just a 4-2 deficit. A steal of home by Patty and an RBI single by Lland triggered Burkburnett’s comeback. Finally, Ryan Box got J Stout to ground out to end the threat.

? ? The Kennedale Wildcats got three-run rallies in the fourth inning and the sixth. In the fourth, the Kennedale Wildcats scored on an RBI double by Josh Taylor, scoring Zac “Willie” Michener.

The Kennedale Wildcats piled on two more runs in the top of the fifth. Zac “Willie” Michener’s single got things going, bringing home Jake Michener. That was followed up by Josh Taylor’s single, scoring Thomas.

? ? After pushing across four runs in the bottom of the fifth, Burkburnett faced just a 9-6 deficit. An RBI single by Jstout, an RBI double by Warner, and a two-run double by Found gave Burkburnett life. The Burkburnett threat came to an end when Brad Woodard finally got Jowey to fly out.
