The Kennedale Wildcats Varsity beat Decatur 6-2 in eight innings on Friday at Decatur behind Jake Michener, who had two extra base hits in the North Texas Tournament of Champions.

The Kennedale Wildcats Varsity didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the fourth inning when they scored on a three-run triple by Jake Michener.?The Kennedale Wildcats Varsity matched their one-run fifth inning with one more in the seventh. In the fifth, the Kennedale Wildcats Varsity scored on an RBI single by Josh Taylor, plating Zac “Willie” Michener.

One run in the top of the eighth helped Decatur close its deficit to 6-2. An RBI single by Drew Edwards sparked Decatur’s rally. Finally, Eggleston got Joey Cantu to strike out to end the game.
