There were no upsets Friday night in the AP 4A Top Ten, although there was one close call. Two top 10 teams were idle, Kennedale and West Orange Stark.{{more: Read more … }}
West Orange Stark, which is located in far southeast Texas, is part of West Orange Cove ISD. All schools have been closed due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey. West Orange is located due east of Beaumont. No date has been announced yet for the opening of the schools.
West Orange Stark is the defending 4A Division II champion. Kennedale and West Orange are schedule to play October 6 in Nacogdoches.
In District 5/4A, Kennedale’s fellow members didn’t fair as well, ending the evening at 1-4. Kennedale will kick off its season at Terrell next Friday night, September 8 at 7:30 p.m.
