The Wildcats finished in 1st place in District 7-4A and were ranked #13 in 4A in the last TABC poll.

Mineral Wells finished in second place in District 6-4A before advancing to the bi-district game.

Both teams are very familiar with each other because they were in the same district last year and can get by with just one day of preparation in this weather-shortened week.

Coach Doug Groff said the Rams are a good team and are just as capable as Kennedale of winning this game. “As long as we play our game, we should be ok,” he said.

The team that wins this game will most likely face #5 Bridgeport (28-4), the odds on favorite to make it to the regional final four.
