The Kennedale High School Winterguard was named the Regional A Champions at the 2019 North Texas Colorguard Association (NTCA) Championships. The competition was held March 23 at Marcus High School. {{more: continue …}}

This was only the second time that the KHS Winterguard had won a championship. The first time was in 2009. Last year, the Kennedale Winterguard finished in 2nd place. KHS Winterguard includes members of the KHS Colorguard that performs with the Wildcat Marching Band in the fall each year.

The group from Kennedale earned a top score of 82.930 in their division at the championships. The score was the seventh highest of all the 114 schools that competed for championships across all divisions and included championship competition held at The Colony High School on the same day.
