With Texas considered in play local Democrats hopeful

Texas recently has been declared a swing state, meaning it is possible in the race for the White House that the Democrats could win, which in Texas, is earthshaking. {{more:Read more …}}
Although most have said that is not likely in reliably ?red? state like Texas but it has given some down-ballot candidates like Sandra Lee, a Democrat who is running for State Representative from District 96, some hope.
 
Lee, a local Kennedale area resident, has made this fight before, but in today’s upside down presidential election where the Republican Party?s candidate seems to be running an independent campaign, there is the hope that this time it will be for real.
 

It is still an uphill battle. Lee is running against State Representative Bill Zedler. Zedler who touts his record of supporting pro-business, pro-family and conservative public policies in Austin. He says the issues in this campaign are limited government, protecting the borders, the right to bear arms, lower taxes and the repeal of Obamacare. Read more at Bill

Lee says the issues are education, veterans, healthcare, immigration, a livable wage, women rights, social equality and a compassionate voice in Austin for those who have not been heard in Austin in recent years. Read more at Sandra
