Kennedale HS Archers finish fourth in recent tournaments

Kennedale Archery competed in the first two tournaments of the year this past week securing a 4th place overall finish in the Texas Two-Step, a tournament co-hosted by Kennedale and Arlington.

At the Kennedale tournament, Carson Yingling (SR) was the school’s division leader, shooting a 281 and finishing in 9th place. Freshman Brielle Lyons recorded the highest high school female score for the Wildcats with a score of 275 and finishing in 11th place.

In the Arlington side of the tournament, Kennedale’s freshman Colt McDonald led for Wildcats with a 275 and finished in 19th place. For the high school female division, Elle Tucker (JR) led with a 275 which was good for 10th place. Isabelle Mayer (SR) finished 13th with a 273 score followed by Hannah Howard (SR) who finished 6th place with a score of 271.

The Kennedale archery team will be is back in action this Thursday and Friday competing in the Allen Classic.

January is the month when teams shoot for their state qualifying scores.
