KPD Police reports for January 17 – January 23, 2021

The following is based on the City of Kennedale Police reports for the time period given. This does not include calls for which no report was written, and some of these offenses — after further investigation — may be deemed unfounded.

Nine incidents were reported during this one week period. Incidents included criminal mischief, assault, theft, public intoxication and the recovery of stolen vehicles.

1/17 — Criminal Mischief $100 to $750
200 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 8:33 a.m. a victim reported that his business was burglarized overnight. Nothing appeared to have been taken. 

1/18 — Recovered Stolen Vehicle (Other Agency)
400 block of Susan Drive
At 5:34 p.m. an officer on patrol observed a vehicle in front of a residence. The vehicle was partially in the roadway. A registration check indicated that the vehicle was stolen out of Fort Worth. The vehicle was impounded for Fort Worth Police. 

1/18 — Assault Bodily Injury
400 block of Municipal Drive
At 5:58 p.m. a parent reported that her juvenile daughter had been assaulted by a known female juvenile suspect. The assault occurred when the suspect kicked the victim in the face. 

1/19 — Public Intoxication
700 block of Woodland Court
At 6:04 p.m. officers responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated male. The male was located and admitted to drinking alcohol and consuming a narcotic. The male was arrested after officers determined that he was in fact under the influence. The male was taken to jail for booking. 

1/19 — Theft $100 to $750
900 block of N. Little School Road
At 9:53 a.m. a victim reported that a known suspect removed his leaf blower without permission. 

1/19 — Recovered Stolen Vehicle (Other Agency)
700 block of W. Kennedale Parkway
At 1:14 p.m. an officer received a report of a stolen rental truck. The truck, which had a GPS locator on it, was showing to be in Kennedale at a location off of Kennedale Parkway. The vehicle was located and recovered. It was impounded to be held as a stolen vehicle. 

1/20 — Theft $2,500 to $30,000
6300 block of Tealpond Drive
At 10:42 a.m. a victim reported that his 2015 Chevrolet Camaro was stolen during the overnight hours.

1/21 — Application for Mental Detention and Observation
1600 block of Montelena Avenue
At 1:28 a.m. officers responded to a welfare check. An adult female was reported to be attempting suicide. The female was located and deemed to be in need of medical attention due to the suicide attempt. She was transported to JPS Hospital for treatment. 

1/21 — Sexual Assault
300 block of Arthur Drive
At 9:02 a.m. a victim reported to police that she was sexually assaulted by a known male suspect. The offense occurred several weeks earlier.
