The City of Kennedale has announced that it has been given an??Award of Excellence? through the Keep Texas Beautiful Governor?s Community?Achievement Award program.

This award recognizes communities who work diligently to create and sustain comprehensive environmental and beautification programs. Kennedale has the Keep Kennedale Beautiful {{more}} Commission (KKB) which currently meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6pm at City Hall.

According to the city of Kennedale website the purpose of the KKB is as follows: This commission engages city residents and businesses to take greater responsibility for improving the community?s appearance and environment. This board is also responsible for development and coordination of beautification related programming, outreach, and events. The KKB also serves as the Tree Advisory Board and the Tree City USA support Group.
