2 CHRONICLES 7:14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
In our world today, there are a lot of calamities and if you’re like me, you’re probably wondering why is God permitting all these horror. It seems the world is going from one tumult to another. While we’re just about recovering from human loss, economic crisis of the Coronavirus pandemia, then a new variant of the virus hits again. In all these, the scripture is calling us to prayer – to pray for our land, and for us to turn from our wicked ways.
As much as you can, I’d love you to pray for the earth we live on, covering your loved ones and family in prayer. Psalm 91 speaks about God’s protection on us, take the word of the Lord and prophesy it on all that matters to you.
So, let us do as the Lord instructs in 2 Chronicles 7:14 humbling ourselves before Him and acknowledging our helpless state. Let us pray to Him and seek His face for favor, mercy, forgiveness, healing, and blessings concerning the nations of the earth; and lastly, repent of our wicked ways.
As we turn away from our wickedness and turn to God in humility, praying over our land, and over our lives, the Lord said He will hear, and heal our land. God has never made a promise and not fulfill it. Let us do our part. God is faithful, and not a man that He should lie. He will heal the earth for our sake – we who are called by His name.
