In their final home game in the regular season last week, the #18 Wildcats (MaxPreps) battled district opponent Uplift Summit International Academy. In a close game in Q1 and Q2, Kennedale pulled away in the second half, winning 72-60.

Kennedale is now 25-6 overall and 7-2 in district play.

Upcoming state playoffs …

Next week, the Wildcats will get their chance in the UIL State Championship playoffs. The Cats will open the state tournament playing the Anna Coyotes, the 3rd seed out of District 9/4A.

Anna survived a slug out Tuesday night with Celina 61-59 to earn the 3rd seed. Anna finished the regular season at 16-11 overall and 7-5 in district play. Kennedale and Anna did play each other early in the season with Kennedale winning 66-43.
