The City of Kennedale is seeking a Permit Clerk that is dedicated to providing superior services efficiently and effectively to residents and employees. It is accountable to perform a wide variety of clerical tasks in support of the planning and development services including {{more: read more … }} customer service, cash handling, issuing permits, tracking receipts, filing, secretary to three boards and other related general office duties.

REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Texas Class C driver?s license. Must be proficient in using various software applications including Excel, Word, permitting software, have general accounting and/or cash handling experience, an ability to maintain confidentiality, excellent customer service and organizational skills, and have regular, reliable attendance including an ability to work some evenings to take minutes for board meetings.

 
The successful candidate must demonstrate intrinsic motivation, high ethical and moral standards.

COMPENSATION: Starting hourly rate is $13.00 DOQ. Member of TMRS – 7% match 2 to 1. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance provided to employee at no cost, vacation and sick time, 457 deferred compensation plan, flexible spending plan, longevity pay after one year of employment, and 12 paid holidays.
