On November 15th the KHS chapter of National Honor Society, in partnership with Carter Bloodcare, hosted their annual Fall Blood Drive. {{more: continue …}}

This drive collects blood to be used by patients across North and Northeast Texas during lifesaving procedures and surgeries.

Each fall the students of KHS and the greater Kennedale community come together to provide blood donations during a time when donations decrease?significantly due to the approaching holiday season.

For many students this is their first opportunity to participate in such a drive and it leads to them becoming a life-long donor.
?
Seniors who donate twice during this year will be honored at graduation with a red cord to wear at graduation.
?
As a result of the drive 153 donors were seen with a total of 362 lives touched or saved. The National Honor Society will also sponsor a Spring drive on Feb. 14th for those who would like to donate.

Mark it on your calendar. It will be held on the campus of KHS and the public is welcome to donate. Afternoon is the best time for visitors to donate.?
