Ming-son Nguyen has been awarded the 2016 Texas Foreign Language Association (TFLA) T. Earle Hamilton scholarship to help him to continue his study in Spanish at the university level. {{more:[full story]}}
In giving the award the scholarship committee said of Ming-son for his ?? enthusiasm for languages along with your academic excellence made you stand out ..?
Nguyen graduated second in the KHS Class of 2016. He is the son of My Ngyyen and Kim Pham and plans to study public health or biology with the goal of becoming a pharmacist.
The Scholarship Committee also noted the efforts of KHS Spanish teacher, Monica Stephens, in promoting the love of languages in her students.
?Both you and your teacher should be congratulated,? added the committee.
