The Lady Kats are now 24-13, 5-0. The Kats are on schedule to win more games than any other Kennedale volleyball team in the past seven years.

The Lady Kats have not lost a match since September 22 when Krum bested them in 5 sets, 3-2. Since they have started district play, they are spotless. On September 25, they rolled Midlothian Heritage 25-13, 25-8, 25-13. On the road on September 29, they earned a win over Godley 25-18, 19-25, 27-25, 25-13. Kats are on top after 1st round …

At the end of round one in district play, Kennedale sits alone at 5-0 followed by Godley (17-7, 4-1), Midlothian Heritage (18-7, 3-2), Alvarado (16-14, 2-3), Diamond Hill-Jarvis (6-11, 1-5) and Venus (4-16, 0-5).

The biggest worry for Head Coach Jennifer Patterson is that the Lady Kats might become too complacent and let up. She does have last year as an incentive for the Kats. Kennedale was leading the district, just like this year, but, Godley forced a co-championship with a win in second round of action.

The Lady Kats start all over in district action, Tuesday night, with a game against Midlothian Heritage. The game will be there with the varsity game time set for 6 pm. Kennedale will return home Friday to play Godley in an early game at 4:30 at Kennedale High School.
