My wife?s name is Debra and I have three children, Clayton, Carson, and Olivia. We moved to Kennedale in 2009 from Waterloo, Belgium where we lived for three years. On our return to the U.S. we specifically chose Kennedale because we wanted our children to continue their education in a small, well-run school district. We love the small town atmosphere of Kennedale with easy access to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

I am the Director of Operations Finance for Lhoist North America, a mining and chemicals company with its North American headquarters in Fort Worth. I am a Certified Public Accountant. I received my MBA from Texas Christian University and my Bachelor?s degree from West Texas A&M.

My wife was my inspiration for deciding to run for the school board seat. In our years in Kennedale she has been involved in the PTA, the Educational Foundation, and has been a school volunteer. I plan to use the talents that God has given me to serve this district like her.

We are thankful that God led us to Kennedale and glad to be a part of this community.

Shawn Ham
