Kennedale?s park will be stocked with 1500 rainbow trout on January 11, 2018.?
Since rainbow trout generally do not reproduce in Texas, and are unable to survive through the summer in most areas, the species is primarily used in winter put-and-take fisheries. Each winter, several hundred thousand rainbows are stocked in community fishing lakes (CFL) and Neighborhood Fishin? lakes around the state.

Choose Kennedale or any number of ponds or lakes in the area and take the family fishing. Kids 16 and under fish free ? 17 years older and above require a fishing license. You can fish without license in any of Texas?s state parks (a entry fee must be paid however).
?
There is a daily limit of 5 trout a day for those fishing and one angler cannot use more than two fishing poles at a time in the water.
