Kennedale ISD has reported that three people have filed for the three open positions on the Kennedale School Board.
Filing began January 29 and will continue until February 27, 2015. {{more}}
Open positions:
- Place 1 currently held by Julie Green who has not filed for election. Leslie Carruthers has filed.
- Place 2 currently held by Rhonda Barnes. Barnes has filed for re-election. No one else has filed as of February 3, 2015
- Place 3 currently held by Joe Taylor. Taylor has filed for re-election. No one else has filed as Tuesday, February 03, 2015
All positions are for three years. Each position is an “at-large position” meaning that you do not have to live in a certain area of the school district.
Requirements to run for the board include being a qualified/registered voter; a resident of this district for six months before the filing deadline; and, a resident of the state for 12 months before the deadline.
Filing is done at the KISD Administration Office at 120 West Kennedale Parkway, Kennedale, TX 76060 (817-563-8000). Administration office hours 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. M-F with the exception of the last day (see below)
