Both the Lady Kats and the Wildcats played North Hills Prep of Irving, TX on Tuesday night. The results were predictable. The Lady Kats won 85-0 and the Wildcats zoomed to a 107-31 win.

This is a perfect example of the problem that has faced Kennedale in volleyball and basketball this season – a district that was full of mismatched teams. It has not been fair to those teams nor Kennedale.

A notable exception has been Oak Cliff Faith Family. Oak Cliff Family boys team has been #1 in the Class 4A a good part of this season and #1 in the district standings with Kennedale in the #2 spot. The Oak Cliff girls team took the Lady Kats last week into overtime before losing out. The new district lineup for the next two years should be better balanced and more competitive.
