School times:?

  • R F Patterson Elementary: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • James A. Arthur Intermediate: 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

  • Kennedale High School: 7:25 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
KPD advice ?
The first day back can cause anxiety for both students and parents. KPD will monitor the traffic flow and respond as needed. We ask that you please obey all the traffic control signs posted around the schools and have extra patience for those who might be dropping off for the first time.
Here are a few tips to make the first day a success:
  • Pay extra attention in school zones and parking lots. Sometimes our little Wildcats have been spotted darting between cars.
  • You can’t use your cell phone in an active school zone. ?
  • Do not park your vehicle in a handicapped space if you do not have handicapped plates or a properly displayed placard. Never park in a fire lane.?
  • Remember that the curb nearest to Delaney Elementary on Cloverlane Drive is a No Parking Zone during school hours.?
  • Watch for and obey the Delaney crosswalk guard. He is there to protect your children.?
  • Remember that Mistletoe Drive between in front of Arthur is one way from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 to 3:45 p.m.?

Give yourself some extra time during the first week. We have a lot of schools in a small area, which means traffic can be quite congested for the first few days, but it usually improves by the second week.

New traffic flow patterns at Arthur and KHS …
For James Arthur entrance to the school during drop-off in the morning and pick-up in the afternoon will be at the back entrances off of Arthur Drive.?
Kennedale High School will go to one entrance and one exit for both drop-off and pick-up with the entrance on the PAC side of the? of the campus and the exit on the stadium side. The flow of the traffic will be counter-clockwise either to the front of the building or around the back of the building to the student parking areas.
