Kennedale Junior High School Students Use Real Life Demonstration to Learn Newton’s Law

Kennedale Junior High School Students had a fun, and educationally meaningful time recently, learning the Laws of Motion from Sir Isaac Newton with some interactive exercises. The firsthand experience helped to demonstrate added meaning and value of each law, such as with the 1st law of motion, which states that an object will not change its motion unless a force acts on it, during which roller boards were used to apply force to accelerate in opposite directions. In addition, the force of one student in an equal and opposite direction applied to a second student was used to demonstrate the reaction as outlined in Newton’s 3rd law of motion, which states: that for every action or force in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction. Students in all periods of this particular class had the opportunity to participate in these hands-on learning experiences. Congratulations students and teachers on developing creative ideas and educational opportunities for our students to learn.
